AND THE FITNESS LIFESTYLE
Why
is life for children and teens so troubled, so desperate, so dangerous?
What's happening in today’s society is not your average case of harmless
youthful rebellion. As the streets become more dangerous than they've ever
been, many of today's youth walk a fine line between life and death every
day. Are
Fitness activities a real alternative? I believe and know so! Studies have
shown that many kids join gangs in search of the solid social structure,
otherwise lacking in their lives. The gang has a definite hierarchy, with
established leaders, roles, and responsibilities. The problem is that gang
life usually leads to a long prison sentence or an early grave. Sports and
Fitness offer an alternative structural foundation that emphasizes
leadership, being part of a team, cohesiveness, and competitiveness, but
toward constructive ends. Society
has made "health" a major national priority among adults, but
somehow forgot the health of children
along the way! Fitness for Kids’ main goal is to attract and keep
kids involved in sports and fitness activities-- both in school and out.
On behalf of FFK and its core supporters, I look forward to joining forces
with you, to provide the leadership and resources needed to reinforce a
healthy lifestyle and future for our youth. I
have worked with thousands of children and teenagers during the past years.
Unfortunately, many of them don't live a healthy lifestyle, and it shows
in their attitude. They eat too much sugar and fat, and don't get the
necessary nutrients to be healthy and feel good. Recent studies indicate
that today’s kids and teenagers are not getting enough of some very
important nutrients, vitamins and minerals. I have worked with children
that were not able to sleep, had aggressive or depressive outbreaks and
developed a poor attitude, leading very easily into a life of serious
crime. Many of them get involved in drugs, start smoking and even end up
getting convicted . Those same kids I worked with started feeling better
after I showed them a healthy and natural diet and motivated them to
become active and get involved in sports and exercising, instead of just
hanging around. It also allowed them to finally get a good night’s sleep
and feel much better the following day. Because their bodies got the
activity naturally needed, as well as the nutrients from a basic, healthy
diet, they didn't suffer anymore from the consequences of a negative
lifestyle they lived before. Some told me that their skin got much better
and acne disappeared; they were able to concentrate better for school and
felt more responsible for themselves and the world. Isn't that great!
It requires more than just telling these kids to say no to drugs.
They need role models, and we adults must step up and be the role models
they need for them. I will say it again - The better place we make this
world for our kids, the better place these same kids will make our world
soon. They are the future of the world! We
must also give kids something to say yes to. Give them something to do
instead of drugs; somewhere to go instead of the streets; something to be
a part of instead of a gang. Healthy activities, life skills, and a change
for a productive, positive future built on a solid structure. Kids need
visions and goals which we have to give them. We have to empower them with
dedication and faith in themselves and the world. That's why I'm convinced a fit, active and healthy lifestyle will keep our kids away from social harm. It is important and a responsibility we adults have to provide them the opportunity to be active and do sports. Every school should have a fitness and athletic facility for their students, so they can keep their fitness and health in shape, developing a healthy mind and body at the same time. I am Mr. World Fitness, and am doing seminars and events with kids to motivate them - but you can do exactly the same! It's up to us, as adult citizens, to be good role models and show them the true meaning of life. Children learn and live by what they see! Choose to be a good, positive role model. Be aware that you are conditioning your kids all the time to do certain things, good and bad, when you do them yourself. Today, as for example, lots of kids are conditioned not to eat vegetables! Thus - lead by example! My godson Samuel, who is five, loves to eat steamed vegetables and pure rice without any sauce. Why? Because his father Martin, a long time friend of mine, eats this way all the time. Samuel wants to eat what his father eats! Be aware and responsible for the children around you from now on in a passionate, positive, and inspirational way. It's important to teach our children about earth ethics and the importance of developing character values such as respect, integrity, dignity, compassion, tolerance, and other forms of virtue and excellence. The Fitness Lifestyle works because there is no space in it for crime, bad behavior, or drugs! Fitness means being fit both, physically and mentally! Fitness means being good to oneself and good to others! My
programs goal and vision is to increase the physical and
mental fitness of youths worldwide, while reaching and educating them in
the classroom, on the web, on television, in magazines and at live events about
the importance of a healthy, active lifestyle, good nutrition, respectful
living, goal-setting, self-esteem and substance-free living. Fitness for
Kids seeks to fulfill the social responsibility we all have to show
today’s youth how to be active and healthy, while encouraging a
good positive mental attitude that's good for them and the rest of the world! Fitness for Kids is my passion! I want to help an entire generation of children to achieve their highest potential through the metaphor of health and fitness!
